We are delighted to share the results of the La Pépinière 2026 Drawing Contest (8–12 years) organised by the Fondation Jeunes Scientifiques Luxembourg. Out of 165 submitted drawings, the jury selected 15 nominees across five categories, celebrating both creativity and scientific imagination.We are especially proud that several of our students were nominated, and that two of them were category winners.

The experience went far beyond the competition itself. Our students took part in two day trips to science fairs, with the final event giving our young scientists the opportunity to see their work displayed publicly and celebrate their ideas alongside other participants. It was a wonderful moment for them to feel recognised and proud of their creativity and scientific thinking.
We are extremely proud of our students and their ability to think critically and scientifically through drawing. The contest also gave us, as teachers, a valuable new way of presenting scientific discovery, closely aligned with Universal Design for Learning (UDL). By allowing students to explore and communicate ideas through drawing, they could engage with scientific concepts in multiple ways, follow their curiosity, and stay motivated by their own interests.
