On November 28, 22 students from S2 to S5, representing the various language sections of EIGT, had the honor of taking part in the Euroscola program at the European Parliament in Strasbourg.
After a very early departure (and a few heroic yawns), our young ambassadors listened to a message from President Roberta Metsola and then engaged in an interview with MEP Delara Burkhardt. They went on to explore the challenges of combating disinformation with expert and Head of Information Unit Delphine Colard, before stepping into the shoes of parliamentarians during a simulation and lively debates around the electrifying question:
“Do you think we live in a society where gender equality is achieved?”
The organization, supervision, and program for the day were simply outstanding, and our students played an active role, standing out with some excellent contributions in the hemicycle.
Motivated, curious, and cheerful, they showed a keen interest in how the Parliament works and in expert careers. Neither the long day nor the late return dampened their energy — just like the 700 other students from 26 countries (including a group from the United Kingdom!). What an enriching experience and a true success!
