On Wednesday, 6 May, eight students of the Europe Club took part in the EPAS Democracy Rally, a day dedicated to exploring Luxembourg and the European institutions.
The itinerary took EIGT’s delegation to various iconic sites across the country, starting with a visit to the European Parliament, before continuing to the Sainte-Sophie Private School, the Malakoff Tower, and a stop at the Luxembourg City Youth Hostel. The students also had the chance to enjoy the impressive Pfaffenthal Panoramic Elevator before wrapping up this wonderful adventure at the Grand Théâtre du Luxembourg.
Throughout the day, the students demonstrated enthusiasm, curiosity, and a wonderful team spirit. This enriching experience allowed them to discover Luxembourg city in a new light, exploring its heritage, the European institutions, and the notion of democratic citizenship. Between challenges, unpredictable weather, travel across the city, and moments of sharing, this day also confirmed that learning about Europe firsthand is undoubtedly far more memorable than a simple map in a textbook.
EIGT’s students were accompanied in this initiative by Mrs Véronique Mohy and Mr Maximilien Plantier. EIGT’s Europe Club will continue being active in offering even more opportunities for educational European adventures to its student-members.
