On October 1st, EIGT came alive with rhythm and creativity as students and teachers celebrated International Music Day through a variety of fun and educational activities. From multilingual songs and karaoke sessions to interactive quizzes and games, every classroom echoed with music, joy, and collaboration.
This year the Day was dedicated to the theme of Peace. In Primary the students of the Italian class explored the origins of the United Nations’ International Day of Peace. They shared their reflections through a beautifully crafted kamishibai performance, narrating the story in multiple languages and conveying a powerful message of unity and understanding.
Other classes contributed by creating a collective poster as a symbolic and vibrant expression of the shared theme.
The celebration continued with engaging workshops led by a professional violinist, who guided the children through musical experiences and accompanied all primary students in a moving performance of Imagine by John Lennon, a universal hymn of peace and hope.
It was a deeply meaningful day, where language, art, and music came together to celebrate peace and remind us of the strength of shared expression.
