Excitement filled the playground on Friday as pupils were introduced to an energetic and fast-growing sport — Ultimate Frisbee. Special guest coach Mr MacSweeney visited the primary school to lead an engaging training session, helping students develop new skills and teamwork in preparation for the upcoming Europrim 26 event.
The session focused on the basics of the sport, including accurate throwing techniques, catching skills, and understanding the rules of the game. Pupils eagerly took part in a series of fun drills and mini-games designed to build confidence and coordination.
Ultimate Frisbee, known for its emphasis on fair play and teamwork, proved to be an instant hit among our students. Many pupils were quick to pick up the techniques, showing impressive focus and enthusiasm throughout the session. Mr MacSweeney praised the group for their positive attitude and willingness to learn something new.
This training session marks the beginning of preparations for Europrim 26, where 15 selected pupils from Primary 5 will proudly represent our school.
The session was a great success, leaving pupils inspired and eager to continue practising. With more training sessions ahead, the school is looking forward to seeing the players grow stronger and more confident as they prepare to compete at Europrim, and also in sports lessons for years to come.
