Accompanied by Eric Busse, Jessica Ogg, and Kristal Angeles, our S5 students embarked on an unforgettable four-day journey to London, combining history, literature, culture, and plenty of fun along the way.
Day 1 – First Impressions of the Big City
After an early start and a journey through Brussels, the group arrived in London ready for adventure. A guided city tour introduced students to some of the capital’s most iconic landmarks, while a stroll through the lively streets of Covent Garden offered a first taste of London’s unique atmosphere. It was the perfect way to kick off an exciting trip!
Day 2 – Courts, Culture and the West End
From the UK Supreme Court to the world-famous Tate Modern and Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, Day 2 was packed with discovery. Students explored Westminster before enjoying one of the highlights of the trip: a spectacular West End performance of Hamilton, bringing history to life in a truly memorable way.
Day 3 – A Journey Through History
The adventure continued with visits to the Tower of London, St Paul’s Cathedral, and the Charles Dickens Museum. The group then experienced the vibrant energy of Camden Town and Piccadilly Circus, discovering both the historic and modern sides of one of the world's most exciting cities.
Day 4 – Memories Packed and Homeward Bound
After four action-packed days, it was time to return to Luxembourg. Students headed home with plenty of souvenirs, hundreds of photos, new knowledge, and unforgettable memories shared with friends and teachers alike.
From royal palaces and historic landmarks to world-class theatre and literary treasures, the S5 London trip was a fantastic opportunity to bring learning beyond the classroom and experience the very best of the British capital.
