The Pink Day has its origins in Canada in 2007 after two high school students, David Shepherd and Travis Price, organised a protest against bullying when they saw a peer being harassed for wearing a pink shirt. They bought dozens of pink shirts and encouraged other students to wear them, sending a powerful message of solidarity and support.

Since then, Pink Day—also known as Anti-Bullying Day—has grown internationally. People often wear pink to symbolise acceptance, respect, and the fight against bullying.

The EIGT school community joins in.
