On March 5th, the P4FR classes in Cessange had the opportunity to take part in a workshop organised by the Musée Tudor in order to discover sustainable development.
The children had to build a “sunny” robot using a solar panel to activate a wind turbine, and a “smarty” robot using recycled materials to turn on a lamp.
They had to screw parts together, connect the wires and decorate the robots.
The aim of this workshop was to understand how solar collectors transform sunlight into electricity, but also how to save electrical energy in daily life.
It was also an opportunity to discuss sustainable development on a larger scale and over the long term, and the importance of preserving resources.
