On Tuesday, January 30th, 2024, 21 students/Junior Ambassadors from EIGT's Europe Club represented Luxembourg in the first Euroscola Day for 2024, which was held in Strasbourg, France.
Our Junior Ambassadors were invited to attend sessions in the European Parliament's Hemicycle to discuss a variety of issues of interest with other Junior Ambassadors from all EU member states. Topics covered were media, democracy, and disinformation, upcoming European elections, simulation of Member of the European Parliament work, and an interview and questions & answers with Ms Katarina Barley, Vice-President of the European Parliament.
Throughout the day, all of our students had the opportunity to participate in interactive workshops and debates, but several of our students addressed all delegates directly. The EIGT delegation was accompanied to Strasbourg by Mr Efthymios Sipetzis, Senior Ambassador of the EPAS programme, and Mr Jorge Dos Santos Cortesia, Graduate Educator and Referent Counselor.
