The Mérite Jeunesse awards were presented on April 26th, in the presence of Their Royal Highnesses the Hereditary Grand Duke and the Grand Duke's brother, Prince Wilhelm. Individual extracurricular efforts by young people between the ages of 14 and 25 are recognized by this award.
