Europe Club EIGT participates at the first Model European Council (MEC) for Accredited Schools.

As the youngest delegation to attend the MEC in Strasbourg, S3 students Gabriela Waicman, Ala Ben Khadhra, Selin Uyar and Rafael Alves Rainho from the English section will represent Finland and discuss a wide range of topics from artificial intelligence to EU accession.

The students have been preparing for weeks and we wish them every success in their discussions and negotiations. During the negotiations, the model parliament had to deal with a staged cyberattack. At the end of the second day, Ms Waicman had the honour of giving the closing speech.
